Very sturdy shoe. However, the leather is so stiff it dug into my ankle. My feet are tender with structural problems so would have difficulty ‘breaking them in’.

Absolutely beautiful shoe – unfortunately, a little too narrow for me – I need a wide

I’ve had these shoes for maybe 1.5 years and at first I wasn’t sure how I felt about them. The leather was stiff and dug into my ankles while I was worried they looked like clown shoes on my feet because of the wide toe box. Turns out I started wearing them a lot and the leather softened up around my ankles and now I’m happy about having wiggle room for my toes. I have wider than average feet and while I can get away with a medium width if the toe isn’t pointed and I can tell the style isn’t super narrow, buying shoes is a frustrating process where nothing fits right. These shoes fit right and the leather is a beautiful, thick and durable pull up style thathas a lot of natural oils in it and scratches easily. This isn’t flaw, but a natural characteristic of this type of leather. I like it because it shows your wear in a beautiful and unique way, revealing the lighter leather underneath so your shoe basically tells a story. I actually admire looking at these shoes on my feet now and they keep my feet comfy all day long. The only thing that seems a little weird to me is the clomping noise they make when I walk. It’s not too loud or obvious but does sound different compared to my other shoes.

The leather on this shoe is thick and very high quality. It has a nice pebbled surface. The shoe seems to be very well made. The black is black (not black-gray). I agree with the reviews who said that the style is unique, but in a good way. The large eyelets are unusual but I like them. These shoes look nice on my feet and that isn’t a common occurrence for me. I have flat arched, low volume, medium width feet (except for narrow heels). The soles are thick and cushioned and there’s good arch support. I ordered a 8.5 (usually wear an 8.5 – 9) and the 8.5 is too long. I think Clarks sizing is a little longer than other brands I’ve worn. It says on the box that the 8.5 is a 39.5. I am returning the 8.5 for an 8.

i always get a 10W in Clarks. these only came in a medium but the toe box looked a little wide in photo, so i went for it. cross between doc martins and moccasins with grommets for eyelets… i mean, what’s not to love?
REALLY wanted them to be wide enough for me…..and they were!!!! very pleased. little tight at end of first day, but already stretched out after 2 wears.

Best walking shoes ever. Walked all over London and Ireland in them. They look really cute with and leggins!

Loved these shoes from the moment I put them on. Going to order a black pair as well.

Love those shoes! I needed simple black business casual shoes, and these are perfect. I ordered 3 sizes -7, 7.5 and 8 (thanks to great Zappos shipping and return policy, thanks, Zappos!). I usually wear size 7.5 or 8 depending on the fit. I normally need high instep shoes on the wider size. With these shoes both 7 and 7.5 fitted pretty well. But for whatever reason size 7 kept sliding of my hill a bit, causing discomfort. You would think that bigger shoes do something like this. But a little bigger 7.5 size was sitting perfect and was not sliding. So I kept size 7.5. I love full grain looking leather, I like a bit dorky fit (this is my favoutite fit!) and love wide toe box. The shoes feel very comfortable too, so I think they can handle a lot of walking when I travel.
Also want to complement Zappos again. Not only their shipping and returns are super fast (and free), but also they have wise price adjustment policy. When I went to write this review, I noticed the price has dropped on these shoes by 30%. Though it’s been 10 days since my order, Zappos generously adjusted the price for me. Love Zappos!

Size seemed a bit small. Ordered two sizes my usual 8 and an 8 1/2. I kept the larger. The heel slips a bit, but I think will mold to my foot, have only worn them a few times but that seems to be happening all ready. Really like the leather and the they are very comfortable, not sure if it’s the insole or the sole make them so cushy. The look is great! Looking forward to wearing them for a long time. Had looked at another pair of KEENS my go to brand, but bought these on a recommendation from another reviewer as I wasn’t find what I was looking for in that style,

These shoes fit my foot like a glove and they are very comfortable. These are a nearly perfect shoe. I have the brown leather.
Krista –
The brown has a beautiful weathered look and the soles blend nicely. They seem to have pretty good traction on wet pavement even with the lack of grid pattern.
Love the uniqueness, retro 70s of the shoe. My only concern is finding replacement laces when the time comes.

I love these shoes. Fit like a dream right out of the box, and I have foot problems that make shoes really hard to fit. They are cute in a quirky way. They do give you a slightly “duck foot” look, but that’s part of the quirkiness that makes them cute. I love the generous toe box. The brown oiled leather is very nice, and I appreciate the cloth laces, which stay put. Another winner for Clarks.

These shoes are exactly what I have been looking for and what my feet need. I am on my feet all day long and needed a flexible shoe, too. The leather is very flexible, so it was easy to wear them and not have to “break them in.” They are also wide enough (without ordering a W) for my kind-of wide feet. Very roomy. I only wish that Zappos carried ALL (or some, at least) of the cool colors like they have in England.

I usually wear wide size but really want to give this pair regular shoes a try. I ordered half size up and initially it feels slightly tight. I wear it at home for a full day and found comfortness I need. Really love the look of the shoes. I am going to keep them!
Brigetta –
These shoes really are funny as called. A bit like clown shoes, which I like. The oversized eyelets give the optical illusion of making my feet look small somehow. The leather is nice and they look well made. As for fit, I ordered my usual Clarks size and they are a bit snug/short in the toe. I decided to keep them because the next size would def be too large and I am hoping that they will give a little. Otherwise they are just what I wanted.

Love these, but the sizing is off. Anywhere from a half, to a full size smaller than usual. These are not long in the toe like most Clarks are. There’s a nice cushioned insole and the leather is fantastic.

I own multiple pairs of Clarks and decided to order my regular size despite the previous reviews about sizing issues. I found they fit true to size for my 10.5/W shoe size. I tried them on both with and without socks and my feet were comfortable both ways. The sole is extremely cushiony, and the back of the shoes doesn’t rub on back of the ankle. I love the quirky style of the show and agree with other reviewers that somehow my clown size feet look smaller in them.

Oh my are these excellent! My first thought was, “Oh, yeah, these are mine.” Goofy? Sort of, in a cool way. Fit like a glove instantly, with a wider toe box. Sturdy, good quality, soft leather that did not rub bare ankles. Leather lined. Insanely comfortable–did not feel them on at all and wore them hours upon trying on. All the boxes checked and affordable. So, correction: These are way beyond excellent and deserving of all the 5-star reviews.

I am so here for the Clarks Funny Dream casual shoes. This is my second pair, different color. The level of comfort is awesome. Thanks Clarks for this comfortable and unique style.

I LOVE THESE SHOES!!! I originally purchased a different color 3 years again while visiting family in the U.K., and am delighted to find that Zappos carried the black pair here in the States. This is my 4th pair of this style. They are super comfortable, wears well with any outfit. I only wish Zappos would carry more colors.

These were the best Clark shoes EVER. I sure wish you hadn’t stop making them!!! I can’t find another pair that is even close to their comfort. I could wear these shoes every day all year long for 3 years in a row!
Bridget –
I’ve had these shoes for about 3 years now and they are really the best shoes I’ve ever owned. Nice wide toe box, sturdy, good leather, and I love that they look a bit like clown shoes. I liked them so much that when Zappos wasn’t carrying them I ordered a pair from the UK where Clarks manufactured them in a wonderful array of colors, patterns, and textures. Glad they are back at Zappos!
Liz –
Love these! Toe box is wide and comfy. I am picky about shoes due to intermittent foot/toe pain (probably Morton’s neuroma) and I have had no issues! The body weight is balanced more towards the heel and mid foot, no extra pressure over the front of foot. I wish they came in more colors!

Love this shoes. I may not be able to wear with heavy socks but I love them so much I’m keeping them
