The ankle area seems very spacious, but I think going down a size would be too small. I purchased a pair of gel inserts and that made it perfect, and more comfortable.

Wow- amazing right out of the box. Double wide was comfortable for wide foot with a wide toebox (thanks Clarks for a double wide!). Returning, becaue the look of the shoe wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. It’s a little bit dressy, would look great in the office with office pants.

Liked the style. Didn’t like the feel of the boot. It cuts into the front and back of the legs. I returned them.

This is a well-made shoe with good styling. It rises over the ankle, and for me, that is where the trouble occurred, as it was uncomfortably rubbing my ankle bone within a few minutes. I will have to return the item.

I have an old pair of Clarks boots the same style, these are every bit as comfortable and nice looking. I took a chance and ordered the same size I already have and am pleased with my purchase . I have always had a hard time finding shoes that fit and were comfortable.

When I stepped into shoe barefoot. It was too big. I added my own insole and added socks for better fit!

Ordered the wide which works for my bunion with a thick sock to prevent my narrow heel from slipping. Style is ok, but overall a great shoe at the sale price.
